This was the first painting where everything clicked - the beginning of a new style that just felt right. It’s where I started to explore colourful minimalism: organic shapes reduced down to their essence, bold contrasts, and crisp white outlines that somehow bring everything to life, even though they’re unnatural. There’s a calm, yes exciting clarity in this mix of structure and spontaneity, and it’s what made me want to keep going in this direction.
